Post workout meal! Stopped over at Urban Plates and was delighted to see they had a separate menu for gluten-free items. I opted for an Urban Plate, grilled free range chicken and my two sides were tomato mozzarella w/cucumbers in a vinaigrette sauce & mashed potatoes. I also had their tomato basil soup and a bite of the flourless chocolate cake. Pilates aka my active recovery day. This class is only 40 minutes, fast paced and a lot of fun. The instructor has you make full use of the reformer in addition to help get a great workout as well as a really good stretch. #Repost @champess ・・・ Took my first Barre class today with my gff @the_gluten_conundrum and boy was it intense! If you haven't tried or heard of it, the class is 60 minutes of high-intensity, ballet barre-based workout that incorporates ballet, pilates, yoga, as well as light weight work. However they do and what you eat in private, definitely shows in public! Be sure that you stay true to yourself, your health, goals and that a little indulgence is great. Moderation is key! This one is definitely been a long and hard one to learn however something that has really helped combat over-eating/binging. I noticed that when I deprived myself completely I would fall in this awful cycle of unable to control myself after so many times of going cold turkey. Consider this a treat or part of your cheat meal. And no it's not plural for a reason. By giving myself something here and there, has helped curb and reduce those bad eating habits!
